Carrot Top Early Life:
Scott Thompson was born on February 25, 1965, in Rockledge, Florida, the youngest of three children of a NASA engineer. He attended Cocoa High School and played drums in the marching and concert bands before graduating in 1983. From a local swimming coach’s reference to his bright red hair, he acquired his name Carrot Top after high school. As a freshman at Florida Atlantic University, Carroit Top began performing open-mic nights as part of his amateur stand-up career.

Following his graduation from the university, Andrew began working in a variety of fields to perfect his act. He eventually became the most popular stand-up comedian on college campuses throughout the United States; in 1993, he became the first person to be selected Performer of the Year and Comedian of the Year by the National Association of Campus Activities.
He was a stand-up comic before turning to acting, having appeared on “Space Ghost Coast to Coast,” “Scrubs,” a recurring role on the rebooted “Hollywood Squares” (which replaced The New Hollywood), and a portion of the comedy documentary “The Aristocrats.”
Carrot Top has also been a performer on multiple special-event shows, including Larry the Cable Guy’s Christmas Spectacular and Criss Angel Mindfreak.
