Lilly was born on September 26, 1998, in the Scarborough neighborhood of Toronto, Ontario to Malvindar Kaur and Sukvindar Singh from Hoshiarpur, India. Lilly’s parents had immigrated to the US to run a small business before she was born. She has an older sister named Tina who is also a YouTuber. Lilly follows the monotheistic Sikh religion that her family upholds and she stated that as youngster, she used tomboyish mannerisms.
She attended William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute in Scarborough, where she studied computer engineering with a minor in communications. In 2006, she completed her elementary studies at Mary Shadd Public School before moving on to Lester B. Pearson Collegiate Institute in Malvern, Toronto the next year.
